It’s Monday, February 1st – What are you reading?

This last week has been a really difficult one for me. My oldest cat had to be taken to the vet for a bladder infection (cha-ching – new vet bill), two of my cats were missing and then Friday evening a neighbor called to tell me they were sure they found one of them (my youngest) deceased but they buried him before I could verify it was him. On top of all this, I had a midterm on Friday and paper due yesterday that I didn’t realize had even been assigned yet. What a week. Suffice it to say that I’ve not read a whole lot this week.

I had to return Between the World and Me to the library unfinished. (I just couldn’t handle anymore depressing things on top of everything else.) I’m still working The Revenant and enjoying it. I was in the mood for a good winter read and this is definitely it. Also, this week (later today, actually) I will begin reading Oedipus the King by Sophocles for my lit class. I’ve never read any Sophocles so I’m a little excited about it.

How was your past week?

What are you reading this week?
